About our speaker: Dr. Jamil Zainaldin is immediate past President of Georgia Humanities. He received his PhD in 1976 from the University of Chicago, and has taught at Northwestern University and Case Western Reserve University, focusing on U.S. History and Law. Zainaldin has also worked in Washington in a variety of roles, including Deputy Director of the American Historical Association and President of the Federation of State Humanities Councils. He is author and co-author of two books on American History, and has written many articles on humanities, history, and the public.
